Ty Inc.’s headquarters are in Westmont IL and the Village of Westmont celebrated their 100th Anniversary of being incorporated as a municipality with the State of Illinois on November 10, 1921, with a year long celebration. A Trivia and Scavenger Hunt were part of the events and Ty created 2 Beanie babies named Westy and Monty to be awarded to the winner(s). How many were made has not been determined. The patch on the front of the bear is not embroidered, it is a glossy/vinyl sticker.
