A Ty Beanie Baby has 2 tags. A Hang Tag (paper tag held on by the plastic attacher) and a Tush Tag (fabric tag sewn into the seam). Occasionally an extra tag is added for a special event or location. You can tell a lot from a beanies’ tags. The condition of the tag does affect the value of a beanie baby. It is also important to know the Generation of the tags to be able to determine the age of the beanie. Yellow Star Hang Tags
The most common Beanie Babies are 4th and 5th Generation Hang Tags with a yellow star on the front. Production increased so there are more of them. There are some variations of them that make them more valuable. Click here to see them.
