Peace – What is my Ty Peace Bear Worth?
“What is my Peace Bear worth, it has multiple errors?”  is a common question asked in our Facebook groups.

This is a simple answer: Error tags are just internet rumors. To some that is hard to believe, but we explain more about them in the following 3 blog posts. Please read them.

Error tag information can be found

“What affects the value of my Peace Bear?” would be a better question to ask.

Check to see if your Peace Bear has a red factory stamp inside the looped tush tag.If it has the number 108 or 113 it can be worth $50-125 to the right buyer.  If it’s a really pretty color it can go higher.  Not all Peace Bears have a number.

107 and 114 are thought to be harder to find but recent sales show neither performing well, price wise.

Solid color “pajama” Peace Bears can be worth a bit. Solid blue seems to be the most common of the solids. Solids vary widely in value with Yellow seeming to be the most desirable at this time.  What is a “pajama” Peace?  It will have the same color from the neck to the toes.

The highest verified price paid for a Peace bear by a collector within the past 120 days is $160.  It was an Indonesia Neon with stunning yellow & red.

102 TY INC Neon’s can possibly bring $15+++ for exceptional colors.  Pastel Peace bears are appealing to many and true Pastels can bring $10+ to the right buyer.  Just because it has the 102 stamp does not automatically make it neon or pastel.

A missing Peace emblem can fetch $100+.  If it’s authenticated the average oddity no symbol Peace seems to be going around $200.  It can go more if the colors are stunning.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder with Peace bears. The vast majority are worth less than $5. The small niche market is shrinking.  Some buyers are willing to pay for what collectors call “exceptional” colored Peace Bears.

Note – If you have Peace bear that is not mentioned here then the value is going to be based on color only.

Still confused?  No problem, it’s a lot to learn.  Let’s break it down again.

If you have a 108 or 113 tush tag stamp it will be worth more than the average $5 Peace Bear.

If your Peace is made in Indonesia instead of China it will usually be worth more.

If you have incredible neon colors it will be worth more. Red & yellow typically go the highest.

Some pastel or white wash can go higher.

Peace missing the embroidered emblem on the chest is worth more. It’s called an oddity.

4th gen Peace with a 3rd gen tush tag is desired by some collectors.

Pajama Peace bears can go higher. This is a solid color Peace Bear from the neck to the toes.

Tri color faces can go higher to the right collector. Peace has 3 sections of the face. If each section is a solid color then it’s a tri color face.

If you don’t have any of the above then it’s based on colors only. Each collector has their own opinion about what nice colors are on Peace

There is no price set in stone for Peace Bears because they are all different, and the people buying them are all different. We can advise based on what we have seen in the past, but ultimately it is between the seller and buyer to agree on a price.
